King Fahad National Library Celebrates the Founding Day

King Fahad National Library celebrated the anniversary of the founding day, which falls on February 22 of each year, in the presence of the designate Secretary General, Dr. Mansour bin Abdullah Al-Zamil.

The ceremony was accompanied by an exhibition of historical photos and collectibles in the library's lobby with the identity of the great national occasion that gives an insight into the story of how the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia was founded, its ancient history, its ancient heritage, and its glorious present, and included various activities and a lecture on Imam Muhammad bin Saud delivered by Dr. Bandar bin Mutlaq Al-Osaimi, an employee of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, in which he discussed history of the Saudi state establishment and its development.

During the ceremony, gifts and commemorative shields were distributed on the occasion of the Founding Day to the attendees, and the designate Secretary General expressed the library's pride in this day, which narrates the epic of how the Saudi state established and its extended history up to the auspicious era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Highness the Crown Prince, may Allah protect both of them.​
