The Deputy General Secretary of King Fahad National Library, Mr. Suleiman bin Yousef Al Masoud, welcomed Director of the Iraqi National Library and Archive, Dr. Alaa Abu Al Hassan Ismail and the accompanying delegation.

At the beginning of the visit, the Iraqi delegation heard a detailed explanation of the idea of establishing the library, its objectives, programs, substantial tasks, role and its achievements, and means of cooperation between the Library and the Iraqi National Library and Archive have been discussed.

The delegation toured the corridors of the library, the Kingdom's Information Center, the exhibition of historical photos of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, may Allah protect him, and the General Collections Halls. They viewed rare manuscripts, and praised the organization and the distinguished cultural heritage they noticed that is regarded a great reference for researchers, scholars and students.​
